Apongozi Tv Series
Apongoz is a popular Malawian dramatic comedy television and web series that premiered in December 2022. Produced by HD Plus Creations in collaboration with Grow Malawi, it explores themes of family rivalry and the quest for wealth through the lens of a modern-day Chikamwini (matrilocal) household.
- Plot: The story centers on Wakondiye Kawaza (the "Apongozi" or mother-in-law), who manages a large compound housing her five daughters, one son, and various sons-in-law. Tension arises over a secret room in her house that the sons-in-law believe contains hidden wealth.
